Time Out for Tanako (TOFT) is a great way to introduce children and adults to outdoor camping ministry at Camp Tanako. Groups arrive at Tanako between 9:00 am – 10:00 am on a weekday morning. Upon arrival, your group is greeted and introduced to your TOFT counselor that will be with you for the day. Groups that come for TOFT almost always begin their day with time at the swimming pool. Once swimming is finished and everyone is changed, the group is off to lunch in the dining hall. Following lunch, groups will spend their afternoon is two or three of the following activities: archery, hiking, kayaking, devo time, putt putt, gaga pitt or arts & crafts. Many local church or community groups come multiple times during summer (once each month). Camp Tanako provides all the materials and specialized staff, your group just needs to provide a ratio of one adult for every eight campers. Before heading home, everyone can stop by the canteen to purchase a snack, drink or a t-shirt to take home.
If you are interested in scheduling a day for your group to come for TOFT, please give our office a call at 501-262-2600. We would love to have your group come spend the day with us!
