A week at church camp can be a life-changing experience for children and youth.  New milestones are reached on faith journeys as young people live and talk about the gospel with caring, trained and screened staff and volunteers.  Decisions are made, new skills are learned, new friendships are forged, and campers go home with tools that will last a lifetime.

Summer Camps

Tanako offers the classic summer camp experience as a tool for growing faith in young people.  Kayak, canoe, sing, swim, worship, cook out, hike, and experience the challenge course all while learning about God’s love for us.

Day Camps

Camp Tanako is excited to offer a  Day Camp program for families in our local mission field!  A week long program that runs for ten weeks over the summer, ideal for children who are beyond the age of the baby-sitter but are not ready to be home by themselves.

Whether you are looking for a retreat facility for your group to experience a fun-filled and bonding weekend or just an opportunity for your staff to get away together for a weekday, Camp Tanako is the perfect setting!

Since 1948, Tanako has been providing programs that give children, youth, and adults unique experiences that shape and expand Christian commitment. Campers will grow in faith through small group discussion, music, drama, arts & crafts, recreation, and worship. Participants leave knowing that they are valued children of God and can enter communities renewed, inspired, and dedicated to faithful discipleship. We look forward to serving you in the near future.

Each day, three well-balanced meals are served in our dining hall. If your camper has special dietary requirements, please submit specific requests in writing to the camp director by the registration deadline date. A reasonable effort will be made to meet these needs.

“You do a wonderful job! He looks forward to going every year. He is excited that the staff know him, recognize him, and always seem excited to see him back.”

“Our daughter LOVED both day camps and the overnight camp! She definitely will be back next summer and has already asked if she can be a counselor there when she grows up! You’ve gotten a new fan! She has also talked a lot about your counselors so you did a great job recruiting the kids that you have out there!”

“My son attended the Older Elementary camp and LOVED every minute of it! This was his second year to go and he was very excited that Zip Lining was added this year! My daughter attended the Middle Elementary camp. This was her first time at camp and the two night stay was a perfect introduction for her!”
