Confirmation Camp is perfect for churches of any size.
If your church has a long-term confirmation program, Confirmation Camp can serve as your confirmation retreat. If your church has a smaller confirmation class, Confirmation Camp can serve as the bulk of the confirmation experience, with follow-up lessons designed to be done at the local church after the retreat.
Join us Sunday, April 14 from 2-4pm
We will be having an open house for parents and campers to come tour the campground, get an overview of the program, Peace Works curriculum, and schedule, meet a few summer staffers, and ask any questions you may have. We are excited about this summer and look forward to welcoming your camper into intentional Christian community. See you here at Open House!
Our Summer 2019 schedule is now available! We have new opportunities available in 2019. Several of our camps will begin on a Sunday this year and we will be doing Adventure Camp again in 2019.
Registration will be opening soon also, so keep checking back. You do not want to miss out on the exciting opportunities that await you at Camp Tanako.
Looking for a low-key, family focused introduction to camping at Tanako? If so, join us for Family Camp August 2-3, 2019. Children of all ages and their families are invited for an overnight stay complete with all of the fun activites that Tanako has to offer.
For children and youth during the summer, Camp Tanako offers a classic camp experience as a tool for growing faith in young people. Kayak, canoe, sing, swim, worship, cook out, hike, and experience the challenge course all while learning about God’s love for us. For older campers, we offer horseback riding, zip lining, and exciting opportunities to travel off-site to experience more amazing wilderness areas in Arkansas. Programs are designed to provide unique experiences, new for many campers. This is accomplished through small group living, where eight to 12 young people are paired with two counselors for the week, making age-appropriate decisions together about their activities for the week.

Peace Works welcomes campers in the hospitable spirit of aloha and invites them to find their place at the table of the parable of the Great Banquet. Then we celebrate our covenantal community by exploring ubuntu and what it means to be part of the Body of...
